Exhibition runs from Saturday 14th February until Saturday 4th April 2026.

​

This group exhibition showcases 10 artists who are all based in the Highlands and graduated between 2022 to 2025; including Caitlin Allison, Codie Anne, Seasaidh Cat, Mark Faulkner, Katy MacLachlan, Erin Matheson, Jan McCormack, Natalie Rattray, Donald Ellis Ross, and Alexandra Smart.

The selected artists work across a wide range of media, engaging imaginatively with the culture, geography and their experiences of the Highlands / Ghàidhealtachd. This exhibition reflects the strength and diversity of contemporary practice emerging in our region.

​

New Highland Graduates is part of High Life Highland’s ongoing commitment to supporting artists & craft makers alongside the Visual Artists & Craft Maker Awards (VACMA) delivered in partnership with Creative Scotland and new for 2026 IMAG will launch the Highland Art Room. The next iteration of New Highland Graduates will return in 2029.

Curator’s Exhibition Tours, Thursdays 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th March 2026, 12.15pm

​

Every Thursday in March you can join IMAG’s Visual Art Curator, Kirsten Body, for a 45 minute tour of this exhibition. Contemporary art can sometimes feel challenging or difficult to understand, but these relaxed tours are designed to share context and offer accessible ways into the ideas behind the artworks. No charge, all welcome. (I will be present at the Thursday 12th and 19th sessions to answer any questions/ talk about my work)

Artist’s Gathering, Saturday 4 April, 2026 11am to 7pm

​

Join us for a lively end‑of‑exhibition celebration bringing artists, designers and craft makers together for a full day of inspiration, connection and exchange. The Artist’s Gathering will feature a programme of professional practice workshops, informal talks and networking opportunities — a chance to share ideas, build new connections and reflect on life after graduation in a supportive, creative setting. The full programme will be available in March to book from High Life Highland’s Ticket Tailer.
